Natural Family Planning (NFP)

Natural Family Planning encom-passes moral, natural, healthy, modern and scientifically reliable methods of family planning in accordance with God's design and will.

     As you make your plans to celebrate your wedding in the Catholic Church, please be aware of the following:

• Notify the parish office by phone (864-223-8410) or our contact page at least six months prior to the wedding to schedule an appointment with Father Francisco.
• Provide a copy of:
  • Baptism certificate (no earlier than 6 months) 
  • First Communion certificate
  • Confirmation certificate
• For English Weddings:
  • After the initial meeting with Father Francisco, make an appointment with Deacon Matthew Houle for pre-nuptial counseling.
  • Contact Cindy Berry to begin the process of wedding planning.  You will receive a packet that will help you coordinate the celebration of this Sacrament.
• For Spanish Weddings:
  • After the initial meeting with Father Francisco, make an appointment with and Miguel Burgos and Marilyn Castro for pre-nuptial counseling.
  • Contact Rosalie Merrow to begin the process of wedding planning.  You will receive a packet that will help you coordinate the celebration of this Sacrament.

Convalidation

     Convalidation is necessary if you are seeking to have your civil marriage recognized by the Catholic Church. Please contact the parish office by phone (864-223-8410) to meet with Deacon Matthew Houle to discuss the process of convalidation.
